The best answer is ';none of them';. Don't use them! Replace the defective part. The leak sealers work by attacking the seal material, causing it to swell, which temporarily stops the leak. However, the seal materials are then hard and brittle, and over time begin to crack, causing more leaks in new places. Leak sealer works great in the very short term, but causes far more problems later, because you've damaged all the seals, not just the one that was leaking.Which additive in the market works better on automobile engine oil leaks?
Depends on why it leaks. It either needs a repair to cure the leak (gasket, pan plug, filter, sending unit, . . .) or an engine repair to stop it from losing oil (blow by, valve seals, . . .). Where is it coming from?Which additive in the market works better on automobile engine oil leaks?
I work on quite a few high mileage used cars and try many products for one thing or another. If the engine is leaking due to a rubber seal somewhere,a product called Main-Sta works good.Put some in the crankcase and drive it normally. After about 48 hours, the seals will swell up and seal tightly, permanently. There are other brands available that do the same thing but I never tried them after using Main-Sta because the results are sometimes incredible.
None, have the leak repaired.
In my lifetime, I haven't seen any work. I've tried them all, in desperation.
there is no substitute for new gaskets, your watching your hard earned $,go oucha wallet.
