Can you drive a car for over 7 hours when it is leaking oil?

Umm hell no unless you want to spend $2500 for a new engine. Check the oil at every 100 to 200 miles to make sure that you have enough and top it up.Can you drive a car for over 7 hours when it is leaking oil?
It would also be a good idea to have oil being used with maximum effecieciency. Get more miles per gallon with mpg, go to www.asavingsongas.myffi.biz, you will be surprised. Can you drive a car for over 7 hours when it is leaking oil?
Yes you can, but its not recommended... If the leak is too bad, take it to the mechanic. If the motor runs our to oil, it might broke down, and it will be more expensive to replace the motor than to repair the oil leak.
No.
Yes, but you better keep checking the oil level and fill it up when needed. You will ruin the engine if it runs out of oil.
Sure...but don't let the oil level drop too low!
yes as long as you stop and refill the lost oil before it gets to low it also depends on how bad the leak is
no because most likely you wouldn't be able to stop that well
Yes. If the leak is real slow, you will not have trouble. Do check the oil level and add more when necessary.

You should get that fixed, though.
depends.

engine needs oil to run. The hotter it gets, the more it needs.

So it depends how fast you are losing the oil.

If its just a bit, its not bad, you can refill oil when it gets low.

If it leaks like 0,5 Liter in 20 minutes, its no good.
Only if you keep topping it up before it runs too low and the warning light comes on. If the engine overheats it may well cease-up completely and then you will need a new engine.
yeah, depending on how bad the leak is..
yes, just keep it filled. think of it as a continual oil change
sounds like your planning a trip. if the leak isn't too bad, you should be fine as long as you keep checking the oil level. look at your engine oil pressure gage also. low oil, low pressure. take a few quarts with you.
I've done this before but u do need to stop and check the oil. When needed add the oil as soon as possible. Also with my old car I had problems with overheating..not sure if oil leak was the cause but just in case have gallon jugs of water with u.
Yes, I've been driving my car for weeks with an oil leak. My husband just put in some more oil and he bought some stuff that is supposed to stop the leak from walmart too, and he just poured that in there last weekend, and it's been fine since then.
not if the leak is real fast..but if it is slow its iight..but u need to get that fixed fast....
you could but it probably isnt a good idea.
yes but not a good idea depending on how bad the leak is
yes you can drive a car for a long time if it leaking oil you just have to keep putting oil in it...this is not recommended though
Depends upon the size of the leak. If it's a major leak, no way. If it's a small leak, seven months could be just fine. If you have a huge poll of oil under your vehicle after is has been sitting for a day, then I would say no. If it's just some drops, then not a problem, but you should still look into getting that leak fixed. It can cause problems down the road.
It depends on how big the leak is. If it is small leak, sure, but I would suggest you check it if you see any auto shop. Do it right away, or if you are in the highway, keep filling motor oil , like after 50 miles drive, make sure it is full until you find a shop. If you don't have time, just keep filing it. You dont want your engineer burnt!
yes you can
there is a product you can put in with your oil that tries to stop the leak. ask a salesperson at walmart or any car service place to show the right one. if it was me and i was desperate, i would get some of that put in, and about 5 quarts of oil, and stop every 30 minutes on the trip at first and check the oil, adding some as needed. if you do ok after about 3 30-minute checks, then extend it to every one hour.

if you drive it with the oil too low,the engine will overheat and blow, which will mean a huge repair bill.
