I have a 93 pontiac transport and it leaking oil from underneathe the car.?

The oil is apparently coming from a plate looking thing.I have a 93 pontiac transport and it leaking oil from underneathe the car.?
Why not just have your oil changed at say aJiffey lube they tell you what is going on and your car has a oil change.

That is the easy way out and it could be as simple as a oil filter loose for $20.00 try my ideaI have a 93 pontiac transport and it leaking oil from underneathe the car.?
The plate is a skid plate, the oil pan and drain plug is under that.

The oil pan itself needs a new gasket more than likely.
Does the plate looking thing have a drain plug? If so, it's probably a oil pan gasket leak. Easy fix if you have some time and a haynes manual. It's just dropping the pan replacing the gasket and bolting back up. This is after draining the oil of course. If the plate is a skid plate, then you might have to find out exactly where is coming from. Usually washing down the bottom, and checking extensively for leaks is your best bet.
