Toyota conquest oil leaking from fuel pump. Replaced pump but oil started leaking again after a week.?

Toyota conquest . Has carburettor. The fuel pump was leaking oil from the breather hole. I replaced it with a brand new unit. The car worked fine for a week ( no oil Leak). After that oil started leaking from the same place again. I checked the oil level and it is correct. A mechanic told me that the engine could be building up too much oil pressure and damaging the fuel pump . Any suggestions.Toyota conquest oil leaking from fuel pump.
