If someone didn't put oil in their car on time, would it probably cause an oil leak?

I didn't change my oil ontime. I couldn't smell anything burning, but it started leaking. I am thinking that it is because I didn't put more in. do you think that that is probably why?If someone didn't put oil in their car on time, would it probably cause an oil leak?
I'll bet you either never noticed the leak before or you spilled it

down the side of the engine and it's dripping. Keep an eye on the leaking area. Wipe it down when the engine is cool and check it for

a while. If you changed the oil filter, did you tighten it up correctly and

did you check to see if the old gasket was still on the used filter.

If you opened the drain plug at the bottom, did you forget the gasket

or strip the threads on the nut ?

Good Luck to you..If someone didn't put oil in their car on time, would it probably cause an oil leak?
The frequency of an oil change has no bearing on whether a leak forms or not. The leak is an unrelated issue. ADDED----You should NEVER take a car to Wal-Mart for service. I expect that is what caused your problem. Take the car to a reputable shop and have them find out what the problem is. Once you make that determination, you can decide what needs to be done.
Let's look at another possibility. Even if you had changed the oil in time the leak source would still be there. You didn't tell us exactly where the leak was. Some are easily repairable while others are more time consuming.
Not changing the oil on time has nothing to do with an oil leak.

oil gaskets wear off with time or maybe you didn't tie the oil filter or the oil pan screw properly
No. Gaskets and seals that malfunction or dry out cause oil leaks.
$hit happens.

But to answer your question...no.
no, not at all
