Is there any way to stop the oil leaking from the head on a 2.4?

its a 98 Dodge Stratus. the factory oil leak from the back of the head, not the oil pressure sensor. i already replaced the oil pressure sensor. now its only leaking from the head. i think its the head. its either the head or the valve cover. either way, its the same spot all the other ones leak. how do i stop it?Is there any way to stop the oil leaking from the head on a 2.4?
this has nothing to do with the oil pressure sensor...were dealing with a stratus from the late 90s, not the early 90s!. totally different engine. turn the front gasket valve counter-clockwise with a .24 gear wrench. If that doesnt stop the leak, youll probably need to replace the filter regulator. Is there any way to stop the oil leaking from the head on a 2.4?
It is head gasket time.
Valve cover gasket and head are hardly ';either way';. It will cost you about $100 to replace the the gasket at up to $1,200 - head. First, buy an anti-grease spray at any parts store and thoroughly clean the area. Drive and check it every day until you know exactly where it's leaking from. Use an inspection mirror ($4-5 at the same any parts store).

If it's the valve cover gasket, you can do it yourself, head or head gasket will require some special tools and skills. In any case, you are better off when talking to a repair shop if you know what you need.

And finally, to answer the question: the only way to stop a leak is to replace whatever is leaking.
Replace the head gasket. Your best bet would be to find a local online forum about your specific car to get more help that is tailored to your car.
i would change the valve cover gasket first. its usally easier. then if it still leaks change the head gasket wich will be a little harder
