I have a 2003 Chrysler Sebring LXI, 3.0 engine, with 39,823 miles. I had an oil change last week and this week I noticed an oil leak/transmission leak? coming from the right side. I've never had any problems with the car. Any idea what the problem is without looking at it?Oil or transmission leak?
Brown Oil = Engine Oil
Red Oil = Transmission Fluid
Green or Orange = Antifreeze
The oil filter or drain plug may be loose. Have it looked immediately.
禄禄禄Oil or transmission leak?
They might have put the screw in crooked and thats what causes it to leak....you might need a new bolt screw or what ever its called..
Take it to who changed it.
Are you sure it's just not spilled oil, from the oil change?
no
I am pretty sure you are retarded. You NEED to change your oil every 350 miles...or every 2 days.
check the drain plug and filter
check the color of the oil... tan or black is oil and red is tranny!! hope this helps!
It could be a plug or a leaking hose, at worst it might be a seal. Best to get it seen a blown transmission would be costlier
ITS A NEW CAR SUMM1 MESSED UR **** UP
How do you know it is a transmission leak? Is the fluid 'red' and smell really funny?
If not, then it is probably oil that the service tech spilled on the engine and it's dripping down.
Check your transmission oil level according to Chrysler's instructions and keep a check on the engine oil. It is possible that they tech didn't get the drain plug back in right or tight enough.
Take it back to the shop and have them check it while you watch.
may be oil residue leaking from the oil filter area that they didn't clean up. take it back to them and have them make sure it isn't something else
